Mr. Aday- The Original Owner

At the age of 31 in the year of 1927, Mr. Ulysses Wade Aday  and his wife Lucye A. King Aday built the home that now stands at 304 North Louise Street.  Mr. Aday was born January 12, 1896 in Bear Creek, Arkansas (Close to DeQueen)  According to WWI Draft Card records he was a teacher at the young age of 21.  Mr. Aday married Lucye A. King at the age of 24 on September 23, 1920 which appears to be when he moved to Atlanta, Texas.  At a time to be determined Mr. Aday opened "Aday's Service Station and Grocery" and owned half of a furniture store located in Atlanta.  Both of which Lucye inherited upon the his death while on a visit to Little Rock, Arkansas on June 8, 1960 at the age of 64. There is no record of the Adays bearing children during their marriage.
