So this morning I actually woke up after my first alarm clock went off. I got up and proceeded to get ready, but I guess I adjusted my pace to thinking I had more time...NEVER do this.... before I realized it the alert on my cellphone was telling me that it was time for me to leave! As I was leaving I decided to check on my rabbits. Up until today, I haven't been really sure how much water that they have been drinking every day. Well, I guess that they were thirsty last night because almost all of their water was gone. I turned to go and get the water hose to fill back up their self-watering bucket and ended up snagging one of my FAVORITE shirts on a cage....RIPPP.... I asked my wife to get me another shirt and I would change after I got to work. She went and picked out another shirt for me and I hastily grabbed it and got it my car. I placed my shirt in the passenger seat thinking that it should be fine there...by this time in my haste I forgot that I had also placed my freshly buttered toast in the seat. FAIL. I get to work and look at my shirt, you guessed it, covered in butter. So, I made the choice to continue wearing my snagged shirt instead of changing into the butter stained one....I made it to work on time....so I guess things could have been worse...
Meanwhile, the engergy folks put another 10" of insulation in our attic yesterday, replaced the seals on our doors, and resealed our duct system. Hopefully this will help keep our house temperatures a bit more consitent!
The figs are turning brown, the squash are about to have to be thinned, and I picked up some more seeds yesterday at Tractor Supply. I bought Sweet Peas, Snow Peas, Onions, Spinach...
